Indian actress Sonnalli Seygall is enjoying a magical honeymoon in the beautiful Maldives with husband Ashesh Sajnani. Seygall, 34, shared pictures of the trip, including snaps of her posing in the surf in a bridal white swimsuit and matching coverup. The newlywed also shared a picture of herself relaxing on a swing/seat out in the middle of the aquamarine surf. "Soaking it all in โ˜€๏ธ ๐ŸŒŠ," she captioned the post. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Seygall stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

Seygall credits yoga for both keeping her fit physically and benefiting her mental health. "I am doing a lot of yoga, I am using this time to improve my strength and flexibility," she says. For yoga, you don't need any equipment, you just need a mat. It helps in keeping my mind occupied and sane and the meditation that comes with yoga really helps."

Seygall doesn't follow fad diets, but avoids processed foods for health and wellness. "I don't follow a diet really," she says. "I am someone who eats healthy. I don't refrain myself or deprive myself of any carbs or any food. My breakfast is usually dosa or toast, poha, upma or paratha. I eat a lot of homemade white butter. My lunch is rice and veggies. I love popcorn and am binging on it more after the lockdown but I restrict that as it is not healthy to have it everyday. I stay away from processed food, chips and all as it is not healthy. But I indulge from time to time, pakora, bread rolls, fries all made at home."

Seygall says she is "obsessed" with antioxidant-rich berries, especially raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries. "Blueberries are rich in antioxidants and protective plant compounds like anthocyanins and can help fight inflammation," says Sheena Patel MS, RDN. "They may improve brain, eye and heart health, and help to reduce cancer risk. The sweet taste of this berry makes it a nice addition to salads and smoothies."

Seygall uses household objects for weights, and loves to dance. "Some days I also do a bit of the band workout with whatever little equipment I have at home," she says. "I pick my potted plants which weigh about 3-4 kgs and I do some weights with them or I pick some books and use them as weights, basically with things that are at my house. I also tried dancing, I do that once or twice a week. I involve my mom in that. So we play some Bollywood music and dance and it's great cardio."

Seygall says she follows certain rules for being able to eat well while still maintaining a flat stomach:

"1. Eating the right food high in fiber and protein is the key.

  • Limiting or preferably completely avoiding junk food.
  • Working out regularly. Consistency over craziness.
  • Having early dinners.
  • Never starving yourself, eating when you want n how much you want. Listen to your body. Don't over eat. Don't under eat.
  • Lastly and very important: Keeping your gut health in check. Number 1 cause for bloating and weight gain."
