Cheslie Kryst Wins Miss USA And Fans Applaud Beauty Contest For Focusing More On Accomplishments Ins

June 2024 · 2 minute read

The 2019 edition of the Miss USA competition is over, and the winner has been announced — the new Miss USA is Cheslie Kryst, representing North Carolina.

The contest saw 51 girls from all over the country — one from each state as well as the District of Columbia — competing for the prestigious title.

This time, the competition was fiercer than ever, as it was clear that each candidate was genuinely determined to get her hands on the crown.

The runners-up were Miss Oklahoma, Triana Browne, and Miss New Mexico, Alejandra Gonzalez.

There was a lot of speculation leading up to the final announcement, with many fans of the event questioning who was going to be picked in the end.

Unlike previous years, this time the answer was far from clear, and there was a strong competitive vibe in the air.

Kryst has been working as an attorney, licensed in two U.S. states, and was chosen by a dedicated committee including accomplished businesswomen, leaders, and other prominent figures in society.

The competition has been moving mainly towards a trend of recognizing life accomplishments rather than focusing so much on looks, something for which the organizers have received a lot of praise over the recent years.

It remains to be seen if this trend continues though — it is entirely possible that it was only a temporary move and that things are going to go back to the previous status quo at some point.

Hopefully, that will not be the case, as the competition has been moving in the right direction in many people’s eyes.

One fan explained: “Congratulations Cheslie Kryst!! This is a well-deserved win. I tell people to look at what a person have done, not what they say they are going to do. Keep up the good work. We all are proud of you.”

A second supporter stated: “You were absolutely FLAWLESS. Confident, elegant and beautiful. So proud of you and my heart was beaming as you graced that National stage. Love you.”

A third person added: “Like y’ all do realize this is one of the best moments of this woman’s life and you’re hurling hate at her? How about be decent human beings for a moment & think about how you treat other people?”
